January 24, 2017-gotcha day for the Child Family.
My entrance into this journey started back in July when my best friend from school asked me if I would photograph their adoption story, how could I say no! I will never forget that day, it 1000% reaffirmed why I want to do this job. Capturing the moment that my best friend became a mom was beyond amazing, every time I look back at those photos I get a little teary eyed. Those 4 walls of a little hospital room held so much love within them. So many happy tears were shed that day by everyone there.
Fast forward 6 months and here we are at Gotcha Day! The day this chapter of the story is complete. We arrived at the courthouse this morning and you could just feel the excitement…I don’t think Lindsey or Andrew stopped smiling all morning. Miss E was telling us all stories and just so happy. As I sat there and listened to Lindsey and Andrew tell the Judge was Miss E means to them and how she has changed their lives I could not stop the tears from falling. They waited almost 10 years for this sweet girl and I know without any doubt that they love her more than they can physically express. Thank you for allowing me to capture these priceless moments these past few months, it has been an amazing journey to go with you!
